ReplyDelete1. I used the lyrics training website and i really liked it for learning. My favorite music is rock, pop and alternative. I listened to the song covet
2. I am bad at everything, but i am really bad at gramar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The strategies i chose are:
- Put the words and their definitions on individual cards
- Learn the rules.
- Try to find songs that match your goal and level.
- Practise reading aloud -get someone to check your pronunciation and intonation, or record yourself on tape and analyse your own speech.
- Write book reports, film reviews etc.
3. I explored the gramar online website. I did 2 activities: simple present and irregular verbs. It was a little difficult for me to understand irregular verbs.
4. I explored ESL video. I watched the video VOA lef’s learn english – welcome!. I was able to complete all the activities and had good pronunciation.
5. I used the AI Loora and had a conversation about crochet. She told me about the basic points of crochet. I only asked her easy questions.
6. I chose the website Elllo, I listened to session 14 and I understood the first two conversations.
7. I read the story "The Other Woman." I didn’t understand much because I don’t know many words.
8. I used the Natural Reader, and I used it to help pronounce my personal presentation.

4) I watched the video "Countries and Languages". Regarding my pronunciation, I did more or less okay, and in listening, I did well.
5) I chose the series "The Vampire Diaries". The scene I watched is about a girl named Elena Gilbert, who starts a new school year after her parents’ death. She meets Stefan Salvatore, a mysterious guy who is actually a vampire.
6) At this point, I did the dictation activity.
7) I read part of the text about Samira’s internment.
8) Personally, it was interesting because I practiced my pronunciation and listening. Also, the resource adapts the speed of speech to make it easier to understand.

2. Five strategies useful for me when learning English.
-I like to write a journal in English because it helps me practice telling my experiences and organize my ideas.
-I also practice speaking in front of the mirror, imagining that I am introducing myself or having a real conversation.
-Listening to songs with repetition helps me a lot, because I can understand the words better and improve my pronunciation.
-I try to read dialogues aloud from texts or stories, since that helps me gain fluency and work on my intonation.
-I use vocabulary flashcards with definitions and examples, because they make it easier for me to remember new words and how to use them in sentences.

ReplyDelete1.My difficulty in listening to a song in English is high, but with this website I was able to practice with an electronic song by the artist Avicii, Hey Brother. It was very useful for me to keep learning.
2.The strategies I am going to use for each difficulty in order to improve are:

- Practicing short conversations or everyday phrases
- Learning grammar
3. On the grammar site, I practiced exercises on past and present simple, which helped me understand how verbs change in each tense.

Improve my listening comprehension, expand my vocabulary, and improve my English pronunciation by consistently listening to songs in this language.

• Read and study the lyrics of each song while listening to it.
• Write down at least 5 new words or expressions from each song and look up their meanings.
• Make one or two sentences with each new word to reinforce their use.

3. I used the online grammar site and did two Auxiliary verbs exercises. I already had some knowledge, and it helped me remember how to use them.
4. I explored the video ESL: Guest needs towels, where I was able to practice my pronunciation and reading several times.
5. I used the AI Loora and had a conversation about the meaning of my name and the sport my father used to practice.
6. I chose the website EllLO, and I listened to Is there lots of nature in your area? I understood the words and the context they were talking about.
7. I read and listened to Ecclesiastes 1 from Short Stories, but I didn’t know many of the words in the text.
8. I think NaturalReaders is very interesting; it helped me practice my pronunciation and listening.

7.I listened to and read the book Peter Pan, which helped me a lot with pronunciation.

ReplyDelete1. I used the “Lyrics Training” site, and I loved it. I completed exercises at various difficulty levels. The genre of the song was pop, since that's my favorite. The song is called Timeless, and the artist is The Weeknd.
2. To improve my learning process, I chose two listening activities, two grammar exercises, and one vocabulary task, since those are the areas I find most challenging.
Listening:
• Find songs that include printed lyrics. Even native speakers often mishear the words in some songs, so having the lyrics available is essential when listening in a second language.
• Set yourself a goal. It's best not to aim too high unless you have lots of time to dedicate to listening. Focus on one or two aspects you'd like to improve.
Grammar:

• Be on the lookout for rules. Don't wait for someone to explain them—try to discover them yourself.
Vocabulary:
• Write the words and their definitions on individual cards. Include a sample sentence that shows how each word is used in context.
3. I used the website Grammar Online to practice English verb tense tables, especially the Conditional II Progressive. Some of them are difficult for me, and others are easier, but I need to keep them in mind and continue studying, since they are very basic elements of English grammar.
4. On the "ESL Videos" website, I watched the lesson "Are You Ready to Order?" I completed the activity and fully understood it. My listening and pronunciation skills were excellent.
5. I used the AI tool "Stimuler" to practice simple sentences about everyday life, how to introduce myself to others, and how to improve my pronunciation of various words.
6. I used the site "Famous People" to further improve my listening comprehension. I chose the actress Aishwarya Bachchan. I listened to the audio and read the text from her biography. Then I completed the activity by filling in the blanks and matching several sentences to her article.
7. I listened to the story of Peter Pan on the "Read and Listen" website. I'm really enjoying it.
8. After listening to the pronunciation of the text on Natural Readers, which I was practicing for a homework report or daily event presentation, I recorded my voice on Vocaroo. Then I compared the pronunciations and corrected several mistakes I had made.

2. I reflected on the difficulties I have in learning English, such as understanding grammar rules, listening to fast conversations, and remembering new vocabulary. I chose five learning strategies to help me learn more effectively:
-For vocabulary, I will use flashcards with the new word, its definition, and an example sentence to practice anytime.
-For grammar, I will learn one rule at a time and avoid repeated mistakes by reviewing and practicing with exercises.
-For listening, I will choose songs with printed lyrics, read them first, and then listen to connect the words with the sounds.

3. I used English Page to practice the grammar topic Present Perfect vs. Past Simple. The most difficult aspect for me was deciding when to use each tense in real conversations, so the exercises helped me better understand the rules.
4. I signed up for ESL Video Lessons and watched the Daily Routines Vocabulary and Listening video. At first, listening was a little difficult, but after watching the video twice and repeating the words, my listening comprehension and pronunciation improved.
5. I explored Stimuler, one of the recommended AI tools, and practiced a conversation about asking for directions in a city. I learned useful phrases such as Could you tell me how to get to…? and Where is the nearest…?
6. I used ELLLO for a listening comprehension activity called Free Time Activities. It helped me understand how people talk about their hobbies using simple and clear vocabulary.
7. I listened to the story The Tortoise and the Hare on Storynory. It was easy to follow and had a good moral lesson about patience and perseverance.
8. I used NaturalReaders and Vocaroo to practice pronunciation. I recorded myself reading a paragraph from my homework and compared my voice to that of the natural reader. I realized that I need to practice the “th” sound and speak more clearly.

video and learned new words. My listening was good, but my pronunciation still needs more practice.
5. AI App practice
I used the AI app Languatalk. It connects me with tutors and AI conversations to practice English. I
practiced introducing myself and talking about my hobbies. It helped me improve my speaking and
listening skills.
6. Listening comprehension activity
I chose the website Listen A Minute and did the section about “Accidents.” I understood everything in
the activity, and it helped me practice my listening skills.
7. Story listening and reading
I listened to and read the story Animal Farm by George Orwell. I liked it because it was interesting and I
could follow the story at my own speed. Listening and reading at the same time helped me understand
the vocabulary better.
8. Pronunciation practice
Yes, sometimes I have problems with my pronunciation. I used the Natural Reader tool to listen to the
correct pronunciation of a short paragraph from my report. Then I recorded my voice with Vocaroo,
listened to it, and compared it with the Natural Reader’s voice. It helped me notice my mistakes and
improve my pronunciation.

5) I explored an AI Languatalk. I practiced short conversations about ordering food in a restaurant. The app corrected my mistakes and gave me suggestions.
6) I did a Beginner listening activity about daily routines on ESL-LAB
It was useful because I practiced listening for specific information and new expressions.
7) I listened to the story The Tortoise and the Hare.
It was interesting and easy to understand. The moral of the story helped me reflect while practicing English.
8) I listened to it with the natural reader, then recorded my voice on Vocaroo. Comparing, I must improve a little more.

- Be patient. It is impossible to learn, much less remember all the rules in a limited period of time. Work on your grammar diligently. One rule at a time and lots of practice and reviewing are good operating principles.

2. The strategies i will implement in my personal work are:
• Choose a song or singer that you enjoy!
• Find songs that have got printed lyrics (words). Even native speakers often mishear the
words of some songs. So having the lyrics available is really vital when listening in a second
language
• Practise reading aloud - get someone to check your pronunciation and intonation, or record
yourself on tape and analyse your own speech.
• Listen to the song with a friend. You can later discuss what the song is about and help each
other if you have difficulties in understanding any of it.

3. Enter 2: irregular verbs, modal verbs. What I find difficult to understand about irregular verbs is the way their spelling changes when they are in another tense, which also affects their pronunciation. With modal verbs, I find it difficult to identify when the meaning of some verbs changes.
4. I watched the video “I have an emergency” and was able to complete almost all of the activities successfully. That's why I realize I need to practice a little more.
5. I explored “Stimulator” and practiced some pastimes and simple sentences. I found it very interesting and it could be very useful for my learning.

ReplyDelete1. I used the "lyrics training" website and I really liked it to learn. My favorite music is vallenato, popular music and llanera music, but I don't listen to music often.
2 English is still difficult for me, and I'm learning pronunciation and vocabulary.
The strategies I would use to improve are:
* Practice watching movies, series or videos in English.
* Read books in English.
* Talk to friends, colleagues or even family about everyday life topics, even 2 times a week.
* Work on my pronunciation and my oral expression.
3. Explore the grammar exercises and complete some activities such as: Personal pronouns. Irregular verb forms. For me, use irregular verbs.
4. I explored the ESL video: Guest Needs Towels, in which I was able to practice my pronunciation and my reading several times.

2. I feel that my greatest difficulty is listening, so I think some of the recommendations I can adopt are:
- Watching series and movies in English with subtitles.
- Writing down words I don't know and looking up their meaning to improve my vocabulary.
- To improve my pronunciation, I can start reading texts in English, recording my voice, and then listening to them to get good feedback.
- Reviewing verb tense structures, as I find this a little difficult
